Our Process

Executive Management & Performance

Our approach to strategy management is a three-step process consisting of:

1) Executive Review

2) Executive Performance Management

3) Strategic Planning Retreat

We are all about solutions to help you uncover the best strategy for your business.

Step I - The Executive Review

The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that affect your business.

The key individual, preferably the owner/CEO completes several general questions in a short questionnaire. Based on the responses, he or she will be asked to provide answers to some or all of these eight (8) rating categories.

– General Strategy

– Financial Strategy

– Customer Service

– Human Resources

– Culture and Communication

– Marketing Strategy

– Operations

– Information Technology

Based on our analysis of the results of these rating sheets, we will take a deeper dive into some or all of the areas of dissonance to make our assessments of which Stage of evolution your firm is – Egg, Chrysalis or Butterfly. We brainstorm the possible courses of action to achieve your stated goals and how best to get you to the next level. We do this by conducting the Executive Performance Management with you, key stakeholders and personnel in the firm.

Breaking it down: Steps to success

Following our two-part process, your company will identify its strengths and weaknesses, and its potential to succeed.

An in-depth look at your business and industry.

Step II - Executive Performance Management

Key individuals complete a more in-depth questionnaire to review the business, the industry and to benchmark parameters with indicators of success.

The analysis includes:

– SWOT Analysis

– Key Performance Measurement Analysis

– Industry Evaluation

– Functional Evaluation

– Financial Management

– Key Client Evaluation

– Human Resources Management

– Information Technology and Social Media Integration

We use all the information obtained along with information we have researched about your industry to conduct functional opportunity and functional performance and resource allocation modeling. We garner preliminary information to determine how to proceed. Then our internal team meets to evaluate the findings and agree on recommended courses of action based on our findings. We present these findings and recommendations to you in a one-to-one meeting.

Step III - The Strategic Planning Meeting

SOS recommends that owners and key players periodically step away from operations for a short period to Focus on the Future.

These meetings are like meditations – allowing you to take a breath and create a future that is not just a projection of the past but encompasses the promise of tomorrow. We have already gathered all the data and conducted our analyses. However, for the diagnostic phase to produce results, it must engage key players to openly discuss critical issues and how they relate to future opportunities.

These meetings can be held offsite (highly recommended) or onsite (still highly effective). Here is where the fun happens. We use all the information we’ve gathered so far to engage all key players in the firm in aligning your Values, Mission and Vision – the motivating forces of change.

Our Strategic Planning Retreat encompasses a series of carefully choreographed events and meetings tailored to your firm and situation. The management of these meetings and events determines the degree of success that will be achieved. During these meetings we determine how well the organization is aligned with its Vision, Mission and Values as it relates to the stakeholders – its employees, contractors, and community – and the market, industry, clients and world. In this informal and relaxing environment we mix serious soul-searching activities with fun and entertainment to create an atmosphere that encourages creativity, authenticity and consensus building from participants. These meetings are a definite morale booster and always end with tighter bonds and higher commitment to collaborate in the implementation of the Strategic Plan.

Focus On The Future.

So, are you ready to take the next steps?

We know the importance of good business, and bringing good business to the world. Let’s get started.
