As entrepreneurs, we start businesses for many reasons, some compelling (a calling, a skill, and a desire to create a
service that does not exist) and others personal (control, power, money, opportunity, et al)

At some point in the process, as our businesses advance, the original reason is no longer the driving force and the urge to
find our place and transform our space in this world, using the good that we can do as business owners, rises to the top
and we must act. It moves from being an urge to a need we must meet, a calling we must answer, a purpose we feel
compelled to fulfill.

This is why I started SOS – to meet the needs of business owners who are drawn, using the capitalistic business model – to
transform our world into one where every person who contributes to our businesses is recognized as a human being and
honored. We can improve lives, raise standards of living and, at the same time, respect the dignity of each individual human
being.

We know that we can change our world, one business at a time, one leader at a time, one set of souls at a time. For the
caterpillar to become a butterfly it has to go through three stages of transformation – the egg to the larva (caterpillar);
the larva to the pupa (chrysalis); the pupa to the adult (butterfly). Similarly, the three stages of a life as a business owner
go like this:

• Stage I – The Egg to the Caterpillar – Life is happening to you – you struggle, you cope, you survive.
• Stage II – The Caterpillar the Chrysalis – You start happening to life – manifestation, success, goal achievement
are yours. This is just the beginning as you are limited by your history, imagination and ego.
• Stage III – The Chrysalis to the Butterfly – Life is happening through you and as you– you surrender control of
your mission, purpose and vision. You let life take over and become a branch of the tree of life. Something more
starts to move through you; something bigger takes over and it turns you from a caterpillar into a butterfly.You
dissolve any sense of separation and attachment and the divine plan takes over as you. Life is happening as you.
You become an instrument of your true destiny. You fly, you soar and you also lay the eggs for the cycle to start all over
again. You fulfill your true purpose.
